About
Université Catholique de Kabgayi (UCK) is a private institution in Rwanda, renowned for its commitment to academic excellence grounded in Catholic values. It is particularly strong in faculties such as Law, Social Sciences, Education, and Health Sciences (including Nursing and Public Health). While French is a primary language of instruction, some programs and courses are offered in English, especially at the postgraduate level, catering to a broader international audience. International students are integrated into a close-knit community, benefiting from a supportive environment focused on ethical leadership and community engagement, though specific dedicated international summer schools are not a prominent feature. Its distinctive characteristic is its deep connection to Kabgayi, a historical center of Catholicism in Rwanda, which profoundly shapes its educational philosophy and community service initiatives.
