About
The Universidad Nacional Abierta (UNA) is Venezuela's pioneering and sole national distance learning university, established to provide accessible higher education across the country. It is best known for its innovative approach to remote learning, offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs primarily in education, administration, engineering, and social sciences. For prospective international students, the experience is largely self-directed and conducted in Spanish, as UNA does not typically offer dedicated international programs, English-taught courses, or specific on-campus support services for foreign students in the traditional sense. Its distinctive characteristic is its commitment to educational inclusion through flexible, open-access learning, making it ideal for those seeking a Spanish-language distance education from Venezuela.
