About
Located in Daejeon, South Korea, the University of Science and Technology is a unique graduate-level institution closely tied to the nation's premier government-funded research institutes, making it a powerhouse for science, engineering, and technology education. The university is best known for its hands-on, research-intensive programs where students work directly alongside leading scientists using state-of-the-art national laboratory facilities. Because of this applied national research focus, the institution attracts a remarkably high proportion of graduate students from all over the world, with virtually all master's and Ph.D. coursework conducted in English. International students benefit from a dedicated international affairs office that provides visa assistance, settlement support, and Korean language courses to help integrate them into campus life. A distinctive characteristic of UST is its campus model, which is effectively distributed across dozens of national research institutes nationwide rather than concentrated on a single traditional campus, offering students unprecedented access to cutting-edge industry equipment and mentorship.
