About
Daejeon Catholic University is a highly specialized private institution primarily dedicated to the theological and pastoral formation of Catholic priests for the Daejeon Diocese. Founded in 1962, it is renowned for its rigorous programs in Theology and Philosophy, focusing on spiritual development and ecclesiastical studies. While not a general university, its academic environment is deeply rooted in Catholic tradition and intellectual inquiry. International student opportunities are highly specialized, typically limited to those pursuing priestly formation or specific theological studies, rather than broad exchange or English-taught degree programs. The university's distinctive characteristic is its singular mission as a seminary, providing a unique and focused educational experience within the Catholic Church.
