About

The University of Chester is best known for its career-focused undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, with particular academic strengths in health sciences, business, education, and forensic science. International students benefit from a welcoming campus environment supported by a dedicated International Office that assists with visa guidance, orientation, and ongoing academic support. While all degree programs are taught in English, the university also provides pre-sessional English language courses to help non-native speakers transition smoothly into their studies. A distinctive characteristic of the institution is its rich history, having been founded in 1839 as Britain’s very first specialist teacher training college, blending centuries of academic heritage with modern, industry-aligned facilities. Situated in a historic Roman city, Chester offers international learners a safe, vibrant, and culturally rich backdrop for their study abroad journey.
