Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano

About

Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano is a private Chilean university renowned for its strong emphasis on social sciences, humanities, arts, and education, often approached from a critical and humanistic perspective. It is particularly recognized for its programs in Sociology, Psychology, Journalism, and Education. For international students, the university's Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales facilitates exchange programs, primarily with partner institutions in Latin America and Europe, though proficiency in Spanish is generally essential as most courses are taught in this language. While dedicated English-taught programs or extensive international student support services beyond exchange coordination are not prominent, its distinctive characteristic lies in its historical legacy as a bastion of critical thought and academic freedom during Chile's military dictatorship.
