The Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) is a premier interdisciplinary research center located within the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. It is globally recognized for its cutting-edge research and state-of-the-art facilities in nanotechnology, bringing together hundreds of researchers from diverse scientific and engineering faculties. International students primarily engage with RBNI through graduate-level research (MSc, PhD, Postdoc) within Technion's English-taught programs, benefiting from a highly collaborative and innovative environment. Technion offers dedicated international student support, including an international office and various services to facilitate integration. A distinctive characteristic is its role as one of the largest and most advanced nanotechnology centers in the Middle East, driving significant advancements across multiple disciplines.
The Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) was established in January 2005 as a joint endeavour of the Russell Berrie Foundation, the government of Israel and the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. It is one of the largest academic programs in Israel and is among the largest nanotechnology centers in the world. Prof. Yeshayahu Talmon of the Technion Faculty of Chemical Engineering is the Director of RBNI since 2010, when he took over from Prof. Uri Sivan.
