Its strongest academic faculties include computer science, electronics and communication, and mechanical engineering, which consistently attract students seeking solid technical foundations in Northern India. While the student body is predominantly local, the campus offers a welcoming environment supported by a dedicated training and placement cell that assists students with career development and internships. A distinctive characteristic of the institute is its affiliation with I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University and its backing by the DAV management trust, which combines widespread educational heritage with modern infrastructure. For international students considering this institution, the medium of instruction is English, though applicants should note that formal support infrastructure tailored specifically to international arrivals is relatively limited compared to larger global universities.
