Daegu National University of Education

About

Daegu National University of Education is a highly specialized public institution in South Korea, exclusively dedicated to training future elementary school teachers. It is academically renowned for its comprehensive elementary education curriculum, offering a wide array of subject-specific education departments such as Korean Language Education, Mathematics Education, and English Education, all designed to cultivate expert primary educators. For international students, full degree programs are rare and require a very high level of Korean proficiency, as the curriculum is primarily taught in Korean and geared towards national teaching certification. While an international affairs office may facilitate limited exchange programs, the university's core mission is focused on domestic teacher development. Its distinctive characteristic is its singular and unwavering commitment to shaping the next generation of elementary school teachers for the Korean public education system.
