About
Bauman Moscow State Technical University is Russia’s premier institution for engineering and applied sciences, renowned globally for its rigorous programs in aerospace engineering, robotics, and computer science. The university is particularly distinguished by its historical "Russian method" of engineering education, which uniquely combines intensive theoretical instruction with mandatory, hands-on industrial design and practical workshop training. For international students, the university offers a welcoming yet academically demanding environment supported by a dedicated International Cooperation Department that assists with visa processing, cultural adaptation, and university housing. While most foundational and undergraduate engineering degrees are taught in Russian—requiring successful completion of a preparatory Russian language year—the university does offer select Master's programs delivered entirely in English in specialized high-tech fields. A defining characteristic that sets Bauman apart is its sprawling historic campus in downtown Moscow alongside its direct, long-standing pipeline into Russia’s cutting-edge defense and aerospace industries, providing exceptional research and career opportunities for ambitious global technologists.
