About

The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) offers a unique educational experience, combining military training with a university degree awarded by the University of New South Wales (UNSW Canberra). It is best known for developing future officers for the Australian Navy, Army, and Air Force, with strong academic programs in Engineering, Science, Technology, Arts, and Business. While primarily for Australian cadets, ADFA accepts a limited number of international officer cadets from partner nations, who are fully integrated into the rigorous academic and military curriculum. International students receive comprehensive support from both ADFA and UNSW Canberra's international student services, ensuring a holistic development within a highly disciplined environment. Its distinctive characteristic is the mandatory integration of military training with a university degree, fostering leadership and academic excellence simultaneously.
