About

Located in Launceston, Australia, the Australian Maritime College is globally renowned as a specialized national center for maritime education, training, and research. Its strongest faculties and programs include Maritime Engineering, Hydrodynamics, and Oceanography, attracting students from across the globe with its world-class flume tanks, model test basins, and 90-meter training vessel. International students benefit from a supportive, tight-knit campus community facilitated by the AMC Student Association and dedicated international student support services that assist with both academic transition and visa requirements. Many of its specialized undergraduate and postgraduate courses are taught entirely in English, providing a direct pathway into global maritime and defense industries. What sets the college distinctively apart is its unique combination of hands-on, industry-embedded training infrastructure and direct access to specialized deep-water testing facilities found almost nowhere else in the Southern Hemisphere.
