About
The George Enescu National University of Arts Iași (UNAGE Iași) is one of Romania's oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions dedicated to the arts. It is best known for its comprehensive artistic education across music, theatre, and visual arts, with particularly strong programs in music performance, dramatic arts, and fine arts. For international students, UNAGE Iași offers a vibrant artistic environment, with an International Relations Office facilitating exchange programs like Erasmus+ and providing support. While the primary language of instruction is Romanian, some courses and programs are available in English, especially for international students. A distinctive characteristic is its historical legacy as the first higher education institution of arts in Romania, established in 1860.
