Penn State Shenango is an intimate commonwealth campus in downtown Sharon, Pennsylvania, best known for offering a personalized, affordable pathway to a prestigious Big Ten degree through select four-year programs and the university’s popular 2+2 transfer plan. The campus is particularly recognized for its strengths in healthcare and professional fields, offering high-demand programs in Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), and Business. With small class sizes that average around 15 students, the campus culture is tight-knit, commuter-friendly, and deeply supportive, enabling students to receive dedicated faculty mentorship while participating in Penn State traditions like THON.

In May 2025, the Board of Trustees of Pennsylvania State University announced the closure of seven of its twenty regional Commonwealth campuses after the Spring 2027 semester, including Penn State Shenango.
