Ursuline College is a small, private Catholic institution near Cleveland best known for its highly ranked Breen School of Nursing and Health Professions and its pioneering program in art therapy. As the first Catholic college for women in Ohio, the now co-educational institution remains deeply committed to women’s leadership, social justice, and career preparation through strong clinical partnerships across the region's healthcare hubs. It was founded in 1871 by the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland and is one of the oldest institutions of higher education for women in the United States and the first Catholic women's college in Ohio. It plans to merge with Gannon University by the end of 2026.
