Founded in 1867, Fayetteville State University is a historically Black public institution and the second-oldest state-supported university in North Carolina, renowned for its strong programs in nursing, criminal justice, education, and business administration. The campus culture offers a close-knit, supportive HBCU environment defined by vibrant student traditions, active Greek life, and spirited NCAA Division II CIAA athletics.
