About

Herkimer County Community College (SUNY Herkimer) is highly regarded as one of the premier two-year institutions in New York, best known for its exceptionally high student success rates and strong academic programs in Criminal Justice, Business, and healthcare-related fields. The student experience is uniquely vibrant and closely resembles a four-year university, characterized by an active campus community and a highly decorated NJCAA athletic program—the Herkimer Generals—which has won dozens of national championships. What truly sets the college apart is its modern, on-campus apartment-style housing, which offers students a traditional residential college life at an affordable tuition rate, alongside seamless transfer agreements that guarantee graduates a smooth transition into four-year SUNY institutions.
