About

Founded in 1866 by African American veterans of the 62nd and 65th United States Colored Infantries, Lincoln University of Missouri is a historically Black, 1890 land-grant institution best known for its rich heritage and commitment to accessible higher education. The university offers strong academic programs with high career placement, particularly in nursing, agriculture and environmental science, criminal justice, and business administration. On campus, students experience a tight-knit, supportive community infused with vibrant HBCU traditions, including active Greek life and the renowned Marching Musical Storm band, all located in Missouri's state capital.
