About
The University of Seychelles (UniSey) is the nation's premier higher education institution, established to address national development priorities. It is particularly renowned for its programs in environmental science, marine science, and sustainable tourism, reflecting its unique island context. International students are drawn to UniSey for the opportunity to study critical global issues from a small island developing state perspective, often engaging in research directly relevant to the Indian Ocean region. While not having a large dedicated international office, the university offers English-taught programs and a supportive environment for students interested in its specialized fields. Its distinctive characteristic is its deep integration with national development goals and research on sustainability.
