About

The University of Kirkuk, established in 2003, is a significant public institution in northern Iraq, known for its comprehensive academic programs. It is particularly strong in fields such as Medicine, Engineering, and Agricultural Sciences, contributing significantly to regional development. For international students, the experience primarily involves integration into Arabic-taught programs, as extensive English-taught degrees or dedicated international student support offices are not a primary focus. While it welcomes students from abroad, prospective international students should anticipate an immersive environment where Arabic is the main language of instruction. Its distinctive characteristic lies in its strategic location within the multi-ethnic city of Kirkuk, offering a unique cultural context for academic pursuits.
