About
The University of Gadarif, founded in 1994, is a public institution in eastern Sudan recognized for its focus on health sciences and regional development. It offers robust programs in Medicine, Pharmacy, and Medical Laboratory Sciences, alongside faculties such as Computer Science, Agriculture, and Economics. While instruction is primarily in Arabic, the university welcomes international students, particularly those from the Arab world, who may find the cultural and linguistic environment conducive to their studies. Support for international students is typically managed through faculty administrations, focusing on academic integration rather than extensive dedicated international offices or English-taught summer schools. Its distinctive characteristic lies in its strong emphasis on community development and agricultural research, directly addressing the needs of the Gadarif region.
