About
Université Mohammed Premier Oujda (UMP) is a prominent public institution in eastern Morocco, established in 1978 and known for its strong faculties in Science and Technology, Medicine and Pharmacy, and Law, Economics, and Social Sciences. While instruction is primarily in French and Arabic, UMP welcomes international students, particularly from African nations, fostering a diverse academic environment through various cooperation agreements and exchange programs like Erasmus+. International students can expect to integrate into a vibrant regional university setting, though dedicated English-taught programs are limited. A distinctive characteristic is its strategic location near the Algerian border, which often informs research and regional development initiatives.
