About

The Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg is a unique institution primarily dedicated to educating officers and officer candidates of the German Armed Forces, though it also admits a limited number of civilian and international students, often through specific partnerships. Academically, it is well-regarded for its strong programs in engineering, economics, political science, and educational sciences. While not a conventional international university, it offers some English-taught master's programs, particularly in fields like Electrical Engineering or Management, and supports international students who are typically part of military exchange programs or specific scholarship initiatives. Its distinctive characteristic lies in its dual mission of academic excellence combined with military leadership development, providing a structured and disciplined learning environment. International students benefit from a close-knit community and specialized support tailored to their unique circumstances.
