About
Universitas Proklamasi 45 (UP45) in Yogyakarta is a private Indonesian institution primarily recognized for its robust engineering programs, with a particular emphasis on Petroleum and Mining Engineering, aligning with Indonesia's natural resource industries. While the primary language of instruction is Bahasa Indonesia, UP45 welcomes international students, though dedicated English-taught degree programs are not extensively promoted. International students should be prepared for a learning environment predominantly in Indonesian, with support typically facilitated through individual faculty or administrative departments rather than a dedicated international office for comprehensive services. A distinctive characteristic of UP45 is its name, which commemorates Indonesia's 1945 Proclamation of Independence, reflecting a strong national identity and historical foundation.
