About
Universitas Nasional (UNAS), established in 1949, is one of Indonesia's oldest and most respected private universities, located in the vibrant capital city of Jakarta. It is particularly well-regarded for its robust programs in Social and Political Sciences, Law, and Communication, offering a comprehensive understanding of Indonesian societal dynamics. For international students, UNAS provides support through its dedicated International Office, which facilitates various exchange programs and offers Indonesian language and culture courses; however, most degree programs are primarily taught in Indonesian. While English-taught full degree programs are limited, the university fosters a welcoming environment and provides assistance for international students navigating their academic journey. Its distinctive characteristic lies in its pioneering role as a private higher education institution in Indonesia, with a strong emphasis on humanities and social sciences.
