About
Universitas Amir Hamzah (UAH) is a private institution located in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, established in 1986. It is primarily known for offering a diverse range of undergraduate programs across faculties such as Law, Economics, Engineering, Agriculture, and Education, catering largely to the regional community. While UAH primarily conducts instruction in Bahasa Indonesia, international students seeking to immerse themselves in Indonesian culture and language will find a welcoming environment. The university's international student support is generally administrative, assisting with enrollment and visa processes, rather than extensive English-taught programs or dedicated international summer schools. A distinctive characteristic of UAH is its long-standing commitment to providing accessible higher education and contributing to the local workforce development in North Sumatra.
