About
Shiraz Payamnoor University operates as a key branch of the public Payame Noor University (PNU) system, renowned for its extensive distance learning network across Iran. It excels in providing accessible higher education across diverse fields such as humanities, social sciences, management, and basic sciences, making it a vital institution for flexible study. While the primary language of instruction is Persian, the overarching PNU system has an international affairs office that aims to support and attract international students, particularly from neighboring countries, though specific English-taught programs at the Shiraz branch are limited. International students can benefit from the flexible learning environment, but should expect most core instruction to be in Persian. Its most distinctive characteristic is its commitment to democratizing higher education through its widespread, accessible distance learning model.
