About
The Polytechnic University of Pernambuco, officially known as Universidade de Pernambuco (UPE), is a prominent public institution in Brazil, highly regarded for its strong programs in health sciences, engineering, and technology. It is particularly known for its faculties of Medicine, Nursing, and various engineering disciplines like Civil, Electrical, and Computer Engineering. For international students, UPE offers exchange opportunities facilitated by its International Relations Office, which provides support though most instruction is in Portuguese. While full English-taught degrees are uncommon, the office assists with integration and academic guidance. A distinctive characteristic is its extensive multi-campus structure, operating across 15 cities in the state of Pernambuco, making higher education accessible regionally.
