About
The University of Teacher Education Schwyz (PHSZ) is a public institution dedicated exclusively to teacher training in Switzerland. It is best known for preparing future educators for primary and lower secondary levels, with a strong focus on practical pedagogy and educational sciences. While primarily German-speaking, PHSZ actively promotes international mobility through exchange programs like Erasmus+, allowing students from partner institutions to experience Swiss teacher education. International students primarily engage through these exchange opportunities rather than full degree programs, and support is typically provided via the mobility office. A distinctive characteristic is its deep integration into the regional school system, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the specific demands of teaching in Swiss schools.
