About
Payam Noor University Lavasan operates as a branch of Iran's public Payam Noor University system, which is nationally recognized for its pioneering open and distance learning model, making higher education widely accessible. Academically, the Lavasan branch, like others in the system, typically offers a diverse range of programs across humanities, social sciences, management, and basic sciences, focusing on flexible study options. For international students, the university system generally welcomes applicants, though the primary language of instruction is Persian, necessitating language proficiency. While extensive English-taught programs or dedicated international student offices are not a prominent feature at the branch level, the central university administration facilitates international admissions and provides general support. Its most distinctive characteristic is its commitment to democratizing higher education through flexible, remote learning opportunities.
