About
NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi is one of Pakistan’s oldest and most prestigious institutions, renowned primarily for its rigorous engineering, architecture, and technology programs. Its strongest faculties include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science and Information Technology, all of which produce highly sought-after industry graduates. While instruction is primarily conducted in English—making it accessible for global applicants—the university does not feature a large-scale dedicated international school or a vast array of specialized programs tailored exclusively for overseas students. However, the International Liaison Office assists incoming students with admissions, visa processes, and basic campus integration. What sets NED apart is its deeply entrenched alumni network and its historical role as the cornerstone of technical education and industrial development in Pakistan's largest economic hub.
