About
The National University of Samoa (NUS) offers a unique educational experience deeply rooted in the Pacific context, making it an excellent choice for international students interested in regional development and culture. Academically, NUS is best known for its strong programs in Samoan Studies, Environmental Science, Nursing, and Education, which address critical needs within Samoa and the broader Pacific region. For international students, NUS provides an immersive environment where English is the primary language of instruction, and the university often attracts students from neighboring Pacific Island nations, fostering a diverse regional community. While there isn't a dedicated international school, the university's registry and faculty provide support, and its curriculum is designed to be relevant to global challenges through a Pacific lens. A distinctive characteristic is its commitment to preserving and promoting Samoan language and culture alongside modern academic disciplines.
