About
Laurea University of Applied Sciences is widely recognized for its pioneering "Learning by Developing" (LbD) pedagogical model, which integrates authentic regional work life and research projects directly into the curriculum. Its strongest programs lie in nursing, social services, business management, and information technology, with several bachelor's and master's degrees taught entirely in English to attract a diverse global cohort. International students benefit from a dedicated international office that provides comprehensive orientation, integration support, and personalized guidance throughout their studies. What truly sets Laurea apart is its exceptionally practical approach to education, allowing students to solve real-world challenges for actual corporate and public sector clients as a core part of their coursework. This hands-on integration ensures that graduates enter the global job market with both a recognized European qualification and a professional network already established in Finland.
