About
Kuwait University is the premier public higher education institution in Kuwait, established to serve the nation's educational and research needs. It is academically renowned for its comprehensive offerings across various disciplines, with particularly strong faculties in Engineering, Medicine, Law, and Business Administration, which are vital for national development. While primarily serving Kuwaiti nationals, the university accepts a limited number of non-Kuwaiti students, often from GCC countries, with many programs, especially in scientific and professional fields, offering instruction in English. Prospective international students should note that dedicated international student support services are less extensive compared to universities with a large global intake, but the admissions office guides non-Kuwaiti applicants. Its distinctive characteristic is its foundational role as the cornerstone of higher education and scientific research within Kuwait.
