Kabul Medical University

About

Kabul Medical University, a public institution, has historically been the leading center for medical education in Afghanistan, primarily known for its foundational programs in general medicine and public health. Its strongest faculties focus on training doctors, nurses, and pharmacists to address the nation's healthcare needs. For prospective international students, it is crucial to understand that the university currently offers extremely limited, if any, dedicated international programs, English-taught courses, or specific support services. The primary languages of instruction are Dari and Pashto, and the institutional infrastructure for international student support, such as dedicated offices or exchange programs, is not comparable to universities in more stable regions. Its distinctive characteristic is its enduring role in providing essential medical training within Afghanistan, navigating significant geopolitical and operational challenges.
