About
Islamic Azad University, Mehriz, is a branch of Iran's extensive private university system, dedicated to providing accessible higher education across a range of disciplines. While specific academic specializations for the Mehriz branch are diverse, it typically offers robust programs in fields such as Engineering, Management, and Agricultural Sciences, addressing regional educational demands. The broader Islamic Azad University system actively welcomes international students, particularly from neighboring countries, providing support services like visa assistance and accommodation, though the primary language of instruction remains Persian. A distinctive characteristic of this branch is its contribution to decentralizing higher education opportunities within Iran's smaller cities. Dedicated international student offices are common across the IAU system to facilitate integration.
