About
Islamic Azad University, Bandar Abbas, established in 1985, is a private institution known for its diverse academic offerings, particularly in engineering, humanities, and management. While instruction is primarily in Persian, the university actively welcomes international students, especially from the region, and provides support for visa processes and accommodation. It features an International Affairs office dedicated to assisting foreign applicants and enrolled students, though dedicated English-taught programs are more prevalent at the postgraduate level. Students benefit from its strategic location in a major port city, offering unique perspectives for those interested in fields like business and maritime studies. A distinctive characteristic is its role in providing higher education access across a wide range of disciplines in the southern region of Iran.
