About
Evangelische Hochschule Darmstadt (EHD), formerly Evangelische Fachhochschule Darmstadt, is a specialized university renowned for its programs in social, health, and educational sciences, underpinned by an ethical-diaconal perspective. It is particularly strong in Social Work, Diaconal Studies, and Early Childhood Education, preparing students for professions with a strong social impact. For international students, EHD offers support through its International Office, which assists with admissions, integration, and German language acquisition, though most degree programs are taught in German. While not offering extensive English-taught degrees, the university fosters an intercultural environment and participates in various exchange programs. A distinctive characteristic is its commitment to integrating Christian values and social responsibility into its academic and practical training.
