About
Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, a Central University in India, is recognized for its diverse academic portfolio, with notable strengths in Pharmacy, Anthropology, Criminology, and Geology. Founded in 1946 by Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour, who donated his entire wealth for its establishment, it stands as a unique example of philanthropic higher education and was the first university in India to introduce criminology. For international students, the university primarily offers admission into its regular degree programs, with many postgraduate and research courses conducted in English. While dedicated international summer schools are not a primary focus, an international student cell provides support for admissions and integration into its culturally rich, traditional Indian university environment. Students can expect a comprehensive academic experience within a historic institution.
