About

Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU) is internationally renowned for its cutting-edge marine sciences, life sciences, and nanoscience research, largely due to its prime Baltic Sea location. The university offers a growing selection of English-taught master's degree programs, particularly in the sciences, environmental management, and economics. International students are well-supported by the International Center, which assists with orientation, visa formalities, and integration through a dedicated buddy program and language courses. A distinctive characteristic of CAU is its strong integration with world-class non-university research institutes on campus, giving students unique access to high-level interdisciplinary projects. Living in Kiel offers an authentic German coastal student experience with a high quality of life and affordable living costs compared to major southern hubs.
