China youth college for political science

About

China Youth University of Political Studies (CYUPS), formerly known as China Youth College for Political Science, was a public university in Beijing renowned for its focus on political science, sociology, and youth studies. Established in 1985, it served as a key institution for training cadres for the Communist Youth League of China and future leaders in public service. While it welcomed international students and had some exchange programs, its primary language of instruction was Chinese, with limited dedicated English-taught programs. A distinctive characteristic was its direct affiliation with the Communist Youth League, shaping its curriculum and mission. In 2017, CYUPS was merged into the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS), and its former campus and programs now largely operate under the UCASS umbrella.
