Ashesi University

About

Ashesi University is widely recognized as one of Ghana's premier private institutions, celebrated for its rigorous liberal arts core and a curriculum modeled after top Western universities. The university is best known for its exceptional programs in Computer Science, Business Administration, and Engineering, all of which emphasize ethical leadership, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving. As a fully English-medium institution, Ashesi attracts a diverse, pan-African student body and regularly hosts exchange students from prominent global partners like Swarthmore College and Macalester College. The Office of Diversity and International Programs provides dedicated support, including visa assistance, orientation, and integration activities to ensure international scholars thrive within the close-knit, residential campus community. A particularly distinctive characteristic of Ashesi is its campus-wide Honor Code, which empowers students to take unproctored exams and fosters a deep culture of personal integrity and trust.
