About
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi stands as India's premier medical institution, renowned globally for its excellence in medical education, cutting-edge research, and advanced patient care. It is particularly strong across all medical specialties, including surgery, cardiology, oncology, and pediatrics, consistently ranking as the top medical college in the country. For international students, admission is highly competitive, often facilitated through specific government-to-government agreements or dedicated international quotas, with English being the primary language of instruction. While not having extensive dedicated international summer schools, AIIMS does have an International Students' Cell to assist with admissions and basic support. Its distinctive characteristic is its status as an autonomous institution of national importance, setting benchmarks for medical education and research across India.
