About
The Sports University of Tirana, historically known as the Academy of Sports and Physical Training, stands as Albania's sole and leading institution entirely dedicated to sports science and physical education. Established in 1960, it is academically renowned for its robust programs in physical education, sports management, coaching, and physiotherapy, preparing professionals for various roles within the sports sector. For international students, the primary language of instruction is Albanian, though the university actively participates in international exchange initiatives like Erasmus+, facilitating cross-cultural academic experiences. While dedicated English-taught degree programs are limited, an international relations office supports incoming exchange students. Its distinctive characteristic is being the only university in Albania exclusively focused on sports, offering a unique and specialized environment for athletic and academic development.
