About
Abai State University, officially Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, is Kazakhstan's oldest and largest pedagogical university, established in 1928. It is renowned for its strong programs in education, humanities, natural sciences, and arts, playing a pivotal role in training educators for Central Asia. For international students, the university offers various exchange and double-degree programs, with an International Cooperation Department providing support for adaptation, visas, and accommodation. While instruction is primarily in Kazakh and Russian, some Master's and PhD programs are available in English, and the university actively promotes cultural integration through events and language courses. Its distinctive characteristic lies in its historical legacy as the first pedagogical university in the region.
