About

Located in a welcoming, tree-lined neighborhood on Chicago's North Side, Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) is celebrated as one of the most ethnically diverse universities in the Midwest and is a proud federally designated Hispanic-Serving Institution. NEIU is best known for its exceptional Goodwin College of Education, which has trained generations of Chicago-area educators, alongside highly regarded programs in computer science, business, and social work. The student experience is defined by a supportive, community-oriented culture that features over 70 student organizations and the opportunity to live in modern on-campus apartments at The Nest. A major differentiator for prospective applicants is NEIU's commitment to personalized, affordable learning, boasting small class sizes where courses are taught entirely by professors rather than graduate teaching assistants.
